Volunteer Technology Support - Staffordshire
Time Commitment: 2-4 visits a month for 4 hours
It is important for our veterans who have sight loss to be able
to continue to live independent and active lives. Technology can
enable members to access information in their own homes and develop
skills that help them maintain that independence.
Our veterans receive full training in technology and equipment to enable them get the most of technology. However as with everyone sometimes they struggle to get to grips with software or get confused as to how to solve a problem their computers have presented them with. Having someone they can call upon to help them would make their lives easier. We are looking for volunteers to support our members in the Staffordshire area to go out and visit in members' homes and find solutions to their technical problems.
You need to have a good working knowledge of hardware and associated common problems. We cover agreed out of pocket expenses including travel costs, offer full training and support to enable you to carry out the role with confidence.
