08 June 2016 10:00 - 17:30

By gracious permission of Her Majesty The Queen, Frogmore House and Gardens will be open to the public on Wednesday 8th June 2016, in aid of Blind Veterans UK.

Frogmore House and Gardens

This is a rare opportunity for garden lovers, day trippers and those interested in Royal history to visit the beautiful gardens and lake set in the grounds of Windsor Castle's private Home Park.

Frogmore's garden is largely the creation of Queen Charlotte who, with her great passion for botany, modelled them on a 'picturesque' landscape with the introduction of over 4,000 shrubs and trees. In the last century the gardens have been restored by Queen Mary and later enhanced for Her Majesty The Queen's Silver Jubilee.

During your visit you can enjoy a walk around the garden, with views of Queen Victoria's Tea House and the white-marble Indian Kiosk. Visitors are very welcome to bring their own picnics or can enjoy refreshments within the grounds.

Opening hours and pricing

The gardens will be open from 10:00-17:30 with the last admission at 16:00. Tickets cost £6.20 per person with under 5's visiting free of charge. Coach parties are permitted but will need a coach pass so please get in touch for more details.

Visiting Frogmore House

On the day, you can also buy tickets to visit Frogmore House whilst in the gardens. A ticket costs an additional £6.80 per adult, £5.80 for over 60s and students and £4.80 for children aged 5-16. Please note, only cash or cheque payment is permitted on the day.

Accessibility

Visitors in wheelchairs are very welcome in the gardens but should be aware that gravel paths may make pushing a wheelchair difficult. The majority of the rooms inside Frogmore House are on the ground floor and are accessible to wheelchair users. However there are two rooms on the first floor which can only be accessed via the staircase. Dogs, other than guide dogs, will not be permitted in the house or gardens.

How to purchase tickets

You can purchase your tickets on the day.
