Blind Veterans UK are asking you to support us by taking the challenge of cycling from our centre in Ovingdean, Brighton to Paris.

 

A fantastic opportunity to accompany our blind veterans on a cycle journey of a lifetime.

 

What is included:

• 4 day duration

• 3 days of cycling in France distances of 50,58,30 miles plus a short cycle to the ferry port

• Finish at the Eiffel Tower

• Your luggage transported to our destination hotel daily

• 3 nights hotel accommodation in shared twin rooms

• All evening meals (excluding alcohol)

• Plenty of trail snacks at our regular roadside stops to keep you going

• Alfresco lunch whilst cycling

• Return travel via the Eurostar on the evening of 15th May

• Free car parking at our centre

• Your bike and luggage transported back for you to collect from our Ovingdean centre

• Full support at all times

• Regular weekend rides for you to get to know everyone and get fit

 

To be part of the #CycleBeyond inaugural ride you will need to:

• Pay a registration fee of £430 based on sharing a twin room.  If you have a preference on who you wish to share with please tell us now.  Single occupancy cost additional £100.

• Commit to raising a minimum sponsorship of £400 which must be paid in full no later than 6 weeks following the ride

• Make sure that you are able to cycle at least 50 miles per day for 3 days

• Ensure that your bike is in a suitable condition to safely complete the distance

• Fit puncture resistant tyres to your bike (you'll thank us for this)

• Be available for an early start on the 12th May and a late return on the evening of the 15th May

• Have travel insurance that includes repatriation in the event of an accident or medical emergency

• Ensure you have a valid European National Insurance Health Card

• Hold a valid Passport in your name with at least 6 months validity from the date of our return

• Be happy to ride in a group ride format

• Agree to abide by our full terms and conditions

• Be able to ride a bike safely!

 

A £100 deposit will secure your place with the remaining registration fee payable by the 1st March 2016.
